Safe and sound

Mauna Loa, the world’s largest active volcano, is erupting for the first time since 1984. I have never been much of a news follower, so some of y’all knew before I did. I feel loved by you checking in! All is well on campus. Mauna Loa is 20-some miles¹ southeast of Kailua-Kona where I live. If anything changes, well, there remains a good chance you will know before me.

This is what I saw behind my dorm this morning.

1. Google Maps says it’s a 28-mile drive. I don’t know how far it is as the crow flies.
